How payments work (for hosts)

Two simple parts: a small fee online, the rest paid to you.

SriLankaX uses a split-payment model, and understanding it takes about a minute.

  • The guest pays a small reservation fee online to secure the booking. This is how the platform earns — it’s separate from, and added on top of, your price. You never see it deducted from what you charge.
  • The balance is paid directly to you at the destination, however you normally take payment (cash, your own card machine, bank transfer — your choice). You keep the full price of your stay, experience or service.

A confirmed reservation — fee paid, balance due at the destination.

When a reservation is confirmed, you and the guest both receive an email with the details, and it appears in your dashboard. Because you collect the balance yourself, there’s no payout to wait for — you’re paid on arrival or per the terms you set.

Note: The reservation fee the guest pays online is unrelated to the commission you pay the platform. Those are covered in Commissions & invoices.
